What goal do you want more then the distractions around you?
Lately I’ve been battling with distractions and procrastination. The smart phone is a blessing and a curse. It has become a mini computer everything I need is at my fingertips. Emails, Calendar, To do lists, weather updates – everything.
The curse is, everything is stored on this handy device so my phone is literally super glued to my hand from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. Major distraction
I find that one of the first things I will do in the morning is pop onto social media and scroll through mindlessly, before I know it an hour has gone by! Then at the end of the day before going to bed I will scroll through and again another hour has gone by.
This is having a direct impact on my productivity. This week my motive is to redirect my focus every time I get distracted.
Some of the techniques I am going to use to keep me on track are:
- Use an app that will track and limit my use of social media at set times during the day.
- Set myself 2 -3 tasks each day that I must focus on and complete by the end of the day
